• Defines corporate governance practices, processes and people to enable enterprises to be run appropriately.

Structure of ZINARA:

• Has a Board of 12 Members appointed by the Minister of Transport (as per Sect 20 of the Roads Act Ch 13:18)
• Members come from various facets of the economy and represent different groups
• Board is guided by a Board Charter, has various Board Committees and Board Registers are kept by Corporate Secretary
• Has Executive Management (Directors) and Senior Management
• Executive and Management meetings feed into the Board operations

Board Composition
i) transporters; and
(ii) commerce and industry; and
(iii) road user organisations e.g. transporters; and
(iv) professional engineers; and
(v) civic society;
(vi) farmers
(vii) one shall be nominated by an association representing rural district councils; and
(viii) one shall be nominated by an association representing urban councils;
(ix) one shall be nominated by the Director of the Department of Roads;
( x ) one shall be nominated by the Minister responsible for local government;
(xi) one shall be nominated by the Minister responsible for finance.
(xii) one shall be nominated by the Minister responsible for the administration of the District Development Fund Act [Chapter 29:06].
